Dear Co-worker,
My name is Maria and 5 % of my work is equality related. The rest of the time I am an administrator at the department of pharmacology, especially for the Programme in Pharmacy.
My job – as well as yours – is to combat discrimination and in other ways to promote equal rights and opportunities regardless of sex, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age.
The University of Gothenburg recommends that, wherever possible, cases be investigated and dealt with at the level where the problem arises. The primary objective is to bring the offensive behaviour to an end as quickly as possible.
If you are discriminated or harassed, or you see somebody else who is, do contact the head of department, myself or any other suitable instance. Please read more about reports and investigation here.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
If you feel like talking to somebody, for whatever the reason, the support group at Sahlgrenska academy is available every working day between 9.00 and 16.00. Call 031-786 3120. You do not need to state your name.
Best regards,
Maria Björkevik
